Water intrusion contributes to more structural problems than any other natural element. And its presence is not limited to “old” structures. Water can find its way into buildings through cracks and joints, causing extensive damage. D.C. Byers Company is experienced in the design and installation of waterproofing systems for new and existing structures.
A variety of waterproofing methods are used on foundations, exterior walls and plazas and decks to stop water from invading the structure and creating serious problems. Waterproofing generally involves the application of impregnable materials to the surface, with particular attention to joints and cracks.
In cases where there is occupied space below a deck or plaza, D.C. Byers Company will often recommend the installation of drainage courses as added insurance against possible leakage or spills.
